Situated in Hertford on a three-acre plot, this was a new build property with a basement and three further floors to create a farm manager's house. This was an arts and craft type build with a concentration on creating a property that looked like it had sat in the countryside for years. The build was carried out in 2019 and incorporated a large reception hall leading to a dining room, lounge, and cinema room. In the basement were a gym, snooker room with a full-size snooker table, swimming pool, sauna jacuzzi, and steam room. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms with 3 ensuite bathrooms finished to a very high specification. The heat source was 1 no. oil-fired boiler backed up by ground source heat pumps to create a sustainable and economical heat source.
The house was externally finished using reclaimed bricks, oak door and window frames, and powder-coated aluminium windows. The patios are finished with quartz paving and the drive area with tar and shingle to keep the country look. Internally the kitchens are to a very high specification, the oak staircase is a stunning feature and stretched fabric ceiling to the basement swimming pool is spectacular, and all bathrooms are finished to a high specification. The internal finishes complimented the style of the house and along with the idyllic setting our brief was completed to the client's delight.
